On March 6, 2026, Gabriel Ward entered a plea to Sexual Battery stemming from an incident that occurred on May 26, 2023, at the Thoroughbred Theatre in Franklin, TN. According to the investigation, Ward entered a restroom at the theatre where he groped a minor child. The child immediately reported the incident to theatre security, prompting a swift response. Detective Andrea Clark with the Franklin Police Department conducted the investigation and was able to obtain surveillance footage from the theatre. Through that footage, investigators were able to identify the suspect as Gabriel Ward. As a result of the plea, Ward was sentenced to serve 381 days in jail and will be required to register on the Tennessee Sex Offender Registry. The family of the minor victim played a critical role in the case by remaining engaged throughout the judicial process and cooperating fully with law enforcement during the investigation. We encourage anyone who has been the victim of sexual assault, or who knows someone who may be a victim, to contact their local law enforcement agency to report the incident and seek assistance.
